Jane Kennedy, Police and Crime Commissioner for Merseyside

Jane Kennedy is the Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) for Merseyside.

Her role replaces Merseyside Police Authority as part of the Police and Social Reform Act. She aims to ensure the policing needs of the community are met.  She does this by overseeing how Merseyside Police and partners work together to tackle crime whilst supporting victims.

Her priorities for the coming year are;

  • Reducing crime and anti-social behaviour
  • Neighbourhood policing
  • Tackling serious and organised crime
  • Maintaining public safety
  • Hate crime
  • Victims of Crime
