Priorities

Information about policing priorities in your ward

Have your say banner

Your neighbourhood policing team holds monthly Have Your Say meetings for you to raise any issues or concerns within your community.

These meetings provide you with an opportunity to meet your local team, be updated with how they are tackling your local concerns and, more importantly, for you to have your say about what the next priorities should be.

The current priorities for August 2010 are:

You said: Anti-social behaviour within Vale Park and Tower Grounds

You said: Anti-social behaviour in Sherlock Lane, Borough Road and Central Park.

You said: Anti-social behaviour in Liscard Way and Seaview Road Car Park

We will update you on what action we are taking to tackle the above, next month.

Update on last month's priority

You said: Anti-social behaviour within Vale Park and Tower Grounds.

We did: These remain an absolute priority for our staff. We are working in close partnership with the Wirral Anti Social Behaviour team to identify those individuals and families who habitually offend with a view to seeking court injunctions, Acceptable Behaviour Contracts and ASBO's. Such steps are often necessary to facilitate a constructive educational process with the families concerned and improve behaviour.

For example, in August 2010 we secured Anti Social Behaviour Orders on two Wallasey residents who had continued to commit crime within their local community.

We will be running operations with our partner agencies throughout the summer targeting these issues in order to increase public confidence and provide further reassurance.
