Confrontational burglary - Tarbock Green
Police Officers making house to house calls
Merseyside Police is investigating following a confrontational burglary at a house in Tarbock Green on Tuesday night (10 November).
Officers were called to a house at around 10.45pm following reports of a burglary.
Three men with their faces covered had forced entry into the house and stolen a quantity of jewellery from an upstairs bedroom. Including some items of sentimental value such as a platinum ring, with a ruby set in diamond, bought for a recent wedding anniversary and for a significant recent birthday.
The occupants, a man and woman in their 60s, were in at the time of the incident and have been left extremely shaken, but thankfully uninjured.
Detective Inspector Tom Keaton said: "This was a particularly nasty incident and although the occupants weren't injured they have, understandably, been left very shaken.
"We are following up a number of positive leads but we always need the public's help. If anyone knows anyone about this investigation, I would urge you to make contact with us."
