Recruitment
Police Officer
Community policing
As a Police Officer, you will be a highly visible member of the local community and a uniformed representative of the Crown.
Your behaviour will be subject to wide-ranging scrutiny, and you will be expected to react to every situation and provocation in a calm, considered and professional manner. You will be required to work a range of shifts, including antisocial hours, and regularly to confront challenging and antisocial behaviour. On occasion, notwithstanding the excellent support your colleagues will provide, you may experience personal danger.
A Police Constable's life is certainly not for everyone. But if it is for you, you will find it is the most varied, challenging and rewarding career there is.
Please note Merseyside Police are not recruiting at the moment. This website will be updated with any notices of recruitment in due course.
