Armed robbery - William Hill, Longmoor Lane
A rear shot of a Merseyside Police Land Rover
Merseyside Police is appealing for witnesses following an armed robbery at the William Hill Bookmakers in Longmoor Lane on Thursday January 21.
At around 7.45pm two men entered the bookmakers, one carrying what was believed to be a shotgun. One of the offenders approached the counter and demanded cash from the staff.
The staff handed over cash and then escaped into the back room and the offenders fled the scene.
The main offender is described as a white man, about 5ft 9in tall and a stocky build. He was wearing a khaki coloured combat style jacket with the hood up and a scarf covering his face.
Officers are keen to trace all those who may have information or who witnessed the incident. They are particularly keen to talk to a customer who was in the shop during the robbery.
Anyone with information is asked to contact officers at St Anne's Street on 0151 777 4808.
