Police Cadets
Our Volunteer Cadet scheme lets young people get
involved in our work in lots of different ways. Cadets help us at
community events, promote crime prevention and do many other tasks
that don't involve confrontation or aggressive situations.
Volunteer Cadets take part in a two-year training and
development programme that occupies at least one evening a week,
although if you are a successful applicant you will be encouraged
to volunteer for additional activities at other times.
There is limited availability for this scheme and is
therefore is limited to 15,16 or 17 year-old school pupils who are
currently in Year 11. We are currently recruiting for Volunteer
Cadets, with recruitment lines closing on 29th March 2013. The
successful applicants will start with us in September 2013 and will
be 18 when they complete their training programme.
