Witness Appeal After Man Falls Outside Adelphi
Merseyside Police is appealing for information after a man was
taken to hospital with head injuries late on Monday night
(3 September).
Paramedics were called just before 11pm after a man was seen
falling to the floor and hitting his head outside the Adelphi Hotel
in Ranelagh Place.
Several passers-by went to the man's age and tended to him until
an ambulance arrived.
Yesterday, the Walton Neurological Centre, where the man was
taken, contacted Merseyside Police to inform officers that he was
in a critical condition with a serious head injury.
Detectives from St Anne Street CID are now trying to establish
how the man came to suffer his injuries and are appealing for
anyone who was in the area near the hotel at 11pm last night to
contact them.
Anyone with information is asked to call detectives on on 0151
777 4812 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
