E-Fit Appeal - Confrontational Burglary - Norris Green
Detectives in North Liverpool have released an e-fit of a man
who they would like to speak to in connection with an
confrontational burglary in Norris Green.
Officers are investigating the incident, which happened on 4th
June, when a man entered a house on Gable Court at around 5am. He
was confronted by the male occupant, a 67-year-old man, and when
asked to leave the intruder assaulted the occupier before taking a
sum of money.
The victim was able to get out of the house and alert his
neighbours who then called the police.
The man was uninjured but left very shaken by the incident.
The offender is described as white, in his mid-30's, around 5ft
10in tall with a stocky/muscular build, cropped hair and speaks
with a Liverpool accent. He was also described as wearing a black
jacket on the day of the incident.
Following the incident, crime scene investigators examined the
scene, house-to-house enquiries were carried out and CCTV
examined.
DC Richard Whates said: "This was a horrid and unprovoked attack
on a man in his own home. He was left very shaken and upset by the
incident and we appeal to anyone who may recognise the man from the
e-fit to call us in case he has information that could assist us in
our investigation."
Officers would urge anybody who recognises this E-Fit to contact
Merseyside Police on 0151 777 4840 or Crimestoppers, anonymously,
