Witness Appeal - Robbery - Greendale Road, Port Sunlight
Detectives are investigating following a robbery in Port
Sunlight yesterday (Monday, 19 November 2012).
Officers were called to Greendale Road at around 12.30pm after
receiving a report that a woman had been approached by two men. One
of the men grabbed a carrier bag that she was carrying that
contained a quantity of cash. He ran off in the direction of
Ellen's Lane where he got into a silver coloured car that it is
believed was being driven by the second man.
Although the woman was shoved during the incident she was not
injured. She was however left shaken.
The man who stole the bag is described as aged between 30 and
40, around 5ft 6in to 6ft tall, of fairly stocky build with dark
stubble and spoke with a local accent. He was wearing a black plain
jacket and a knitted woolly hat. It is thought he was also wearing
jeans.
Officers are conducting house-to-house enquiries, have been
searching for CCTV and carrying out forensic enquiries.
