UPDATE: Eleven Arrested In Operation By Titan Targeting Firearms, Drugs And Money Laundering
A further man has today (Friday, 12 October) been
charged following raids carried out by the North West Regional
Organised Crime Unit (Titan) across the North West yesterday
(Thursday, 11 October 2012).
Scott Tyson, 43 years, of Lodge Lane, Hyde, Greater
Manchester is charged with conspiracy to supply class A-drugs,
conspiracy to supply class B-drugs and Possession of a Class-A drug
with intent to supply.
He has been bailed to appear at Preston Magistrates'
Court on Thursday, 25 October 2012.
Six men have been charged as a result of raids carried out by
the North West Regional Organised Crime Unit (Titan) across the
North West yesterday (Thursday, 11 October 2012).
Ten men and one woman were arrested on suspicion of a number of
offences including drugs, firearms, violence and money laundering
following a covert investigation into serious and organised
crime.
Officers from Titan, assisted by officers from Merseyside,
Cheshire, and Greater Manchester, executed search warrants in
Southport, Ainsdale, Anfield, Wallasey, Huyton, Banks, Aughton,
Woodhouses, Hyde and Stockport.
The arrests are linked to the policing operation that saw 13
people charged following warrants executed by Titan across
Merseyside, Lancashire, Cheshire and Manchester on 27 September
2012.
The six men charged are as follows:
- Terence Sergeant, aged 33, of no fixed abode, has been charged
with conspiracy to supply class A drugs.
- Alan Bentley, aged 43, of Eton Court, Northwich has been
charged with conspiracy to supply class A drugs.
- Mark Higgins, aged 35, of Helston Green, Huyton has been
charged with conspiracy to supply class A drugs and offences under
the Proceeds of Crime Act.
- Daniel Edgar, aged 28, of Medlock Road, Woodhouses, Greater
Manchester has been charged with conspiracy to supply class B
drugs.
- Julian Solomon, aged 32, of Liverpool Road, Southport has been
charged with grievous bodily harm and possession of a prohibited
weapon.
- Kevin Dally, aged 43, of Moorbridge Close, Bootle has been
charged with conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm and
conspiracy to commit blackmail.
- Sergeant was remanded in custody while the other five men were
given court bail. They will all appear at Preston Magistrates'
Court on Thursday, 25 October 2012.
- 43-year-old man from Hyde, Greater Manchester, who was arrested
on suspicion of conspiracy to supply class A drugs and class B
drugs and offences under the Proceeds of Crime continues to be
interviewed by detectives.
- A 41-year-old man from Wallasey and two men aged 38 and 50,
have been bailed by police for further enquiries.
- A 49-year-old woman from Northwich was released without
charge.
