Earlier, at 7.30 am, the victim was outside of a bar on Eberle Street, Liverpool where he met a man and they walked together towards Tithebarn Street. At the NCP car park at Moorfields he met with a second man who stole his high-value Gold Rolex watch and assaulted the victim.

The stolen watch is described as a gold Rolex watch with emeralds set into the face.

Following the incident officers believe the offender hailed a white Hackney taxi and travelled to Lime Street Station, where he got out; Detectives wish to trace the taxi driver who took him from the scene.

The offender is described as a black man, aged in his 20's wearing a purple coloured shirt and dark coloured trousers. It is thought that he walked with a limp.
