Through high visibility patrolling and targeting offenders these offences have been significantly reduced. On Wednesday 18th March at approximately 1pm offenders stole a mountain bike from outside a business premises on Rose Lane. Offenders managed to remove the chain to steal the bike. Did anyone see anything? Off road motorcycles are always a concern for the community they are noisy and destroy the grass in open spaces if used improperly. If you own an off road motorcycle please use it responsibly in a proper location. If you are unsure as to when and where it can be used contact your local police station and they can advise you.

This priority closely ties in with the previous one. As most cars are stolen, as a result of the keys being taken from a burglary. Thank you for your calls we have received reports of males walking up driveways checking car door handles. We have made some arrests so please continue to report any suspicious activity. Please don’t leave bags and valuables on view in your car offenders will smash your window to check what’s inside. Insecure vehicles have also been targeted so please lock your vehicles before you go to bed. We did receive a crime report of offenders stealing number plates of a vehicle in Lyttleton Road. If you see anyone tampering with number plates please give us a call and we will investigate.

On Wednesday 6th March there was an overnight burglary in Rockside Road. The offenders forced the UPVC door to enter the property. Did you see anything? On Wednesday 13th March offenders stole property from garages overnight in Mossley Hill Drive. Did you see anything? Plain-clothes officers will remain in the area to target this type of offence. We rely on your calls if you see something not right please call the police. Burglary type offences continue to reduce year on year and we are committed to stopping this type of crime. There have been reports received recently of males in a white transit van attending properties and asking to complete guttering work for a fee. When the work is completed the fee rises and the money is demanded from the occupiers. It often turns out that no work has been completed. If you see vehicles in the area that you are unsure of or people knocking door to door looking suspicious please give the police a call on 101. They may be legitimate traders or they could be people trying to scam vulnerable or elderly people. Often they also use these tactics to steal items from your home please be vigilant ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ On the 14th of February at around 11:50 whilst guards were filling up a cash machine at Liverpool university. Unknown males approached the guards and threatened them with weapons before stealing an empty cash box and making good their escape. Were you in the area on this date and witness anything that has not been reported to police yet. Please call us if you saw anything so that the offenders can be traced. Since this incident officers have attended to all deliveries of cash to premises and cash machines ensuring the safety of the guards. At approximately midnight on the 1st of March 2013, unknown offenders have entered a business premises in the Aigburth Vale area and stolen a large amount of clothing from the shop. Did you happen to be in the area at this time and witness anything, which you thought was suspicious? If so please contact the police on 101. Sometimes a piece of information dismissed, as nothing at the time is the piece of information that we need to solve a crime. Particular attention is being paid to business premises within the area and security advice being offered to prevent further incidents. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ On Tuesday 8th January offenders broke into a business premises in Rose Lane and stole a quantity of cash. Did you see anyone hanging around the area? On Tuesday 22nd January offenders broke into a number of garages in Mossley Hill Drive and stole property from storage boxes. If you have any information about these crimes please call your local police team. There have been a number of significant arrests for the offence, which has seen a number of well-known offenders brought to justice. Officers will continue to disrupt and target offenders to deter them for this type of crime I am pleased to report compared to last year we have reduced burglary dwelling by over 50% across Childwall, Church and Mossley Hill.
