The ward is part of a suburb in the south west of Liverpool.  It contains Wavertree Park, an open space dating back to the 19th Century, which is now home to Wavertree Athletics Centre which has a range of sports and athletics facilities.

The ward is also where you will find Wavertree Technology park.

Alcohol Awareness Week

Merseyside Police will be running an Alcohol Awareness Week throughout Merseyside from 15th – 22nd September 2014.

Bike Seizures

An extensive search of shipping containers was carried out and as a result; 9 x quad bikes, 3 x off-road bikes, 2 x beach buggies and components of a BMW X5 motor vehicle, all of which are believed stolen from various parts of the UK, have been seized. Cannabis growing equipment was also recovered and seized. Trading Standards were in attendance and as a result a large quantity of suspected fake / contraband clothing were also siezed. Enquiries are on-going.

Operation Brookdale

Officers from the Wavertree Neighbourhood Team executed a warrant on Alfred Street container yard as part of Operation Brookdale due to the local community suffering from the illegal and anti-social use of scrambler and quad bikes.
