As #NeighbourhoodPolicingWeek comes to an end, officers based in St Helens have welcomed further successes overnight.
The Local Policing team in #StHelens have kickstarted #NeighbourhoodPolicingWeek by making a number of arrests in connection to offences including sexual assault, criminal damage and theft.
Today (30th September), officers from our St Helens policing team have been carrying out drugs warrants at 10 different addresses as well as working with local Landlord and Tenant Liaison Officers and Safer Communities Team to identify criminals and protect our communities.
We are appealing on behalf of St Helens coroner's office for help in finding the next of kin of a local man.
Merseyside Police have charged a 27 year old man from St Helens with multiple offences following an altercation earlier this week.
Officers have arrested a 34 year old man from Thatto Heath after he was found in possession of around 40 bags of cannabis hidden in a football sock.
Last night officers on patrol stopped a taxi driver on Garswood Road, St Helens during a routine stop check.
He, along with the passenger were both searched under a drugs warrant where hidden inside a can of de-icer, officers found numerous bags of suspected Cannabis. Then officers found a can of Lynx Africa containing a number of bags of white powder, suspected as being cocaine.
Officers have arrested two men, both in their 20s from St Helens on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle following a road traffic collision on Travers Entry.
Detectives are appealing for witnesses following a stabbing in the St Helens area last night, Wednesday 12 September.
Just before 8.45pm, emergency services were called to Pennine Drive to reports of a teenager having been stabbed by a male from a group who was part of a larger group of around six/seven males. Another male from the group also attempted to stab a male who was a friend of the victim. The victim was taken to hospital for treatment for a non-life-threatening wound to his thigh.
