Social distancing rules during coronavirus in Northern Ireland
The rules are changing and we will update this page as soon as possible.
Outdoor gatherings of up to 15 people who don’t live together are now allowed.
Please stay two metres from anyone you meet from outside your household.
Larger groups are allowed in some situations - see more about the exceptions.
You can only meet people from another household in either your home or another person’s home socially if they are in your extended household. These rules apply to children.
All shops in Northern Ireland are now allowed to open. Restaurants and pubs can also now open.
People aged 13 and over must wear a face covering on public transport and in shops.
- physical or mental illness, impairment or disability which prevents you wearing a face covering
- taking medicine, eating and drinking when necessary
- lip reading
- to avoid harm or injury
- if you are asked to remove your face covering by someone in authority
