Did you know?
- Last year, on 30 October, Merseyside Police received an increase of 999 emergency calls. To assist us this year, please call 101 to report an incident and only dial 999 in an emergency
- If you are under 18 years of age and found in possession of a firework, including bangers, you can be arrested and fined £40. This includes carrying fireworks in your pockets.
- It is an offence to set off fireworks during the night hours. This is commonly referred to as the curfew period and applies between 11.00pm each night and 7.00am in the morning, below are the exceptions to the curfew period:
Beginning at 11.00pm on 5 November and ending at 12.00am the following day.
Chinese New Year
Beginning at 11.00pm on the first day of Chinese New Year and ending at 1.00am the following day.
Beginning at 11.00pm on the day of Diwali and ending at 1.00am the following day.
Beginning at 11.00pm on the 31st December and ending at 1.00am the following day.
