A gross misconduct hearing was held at Merseyside Police headquarters on Thursday 30 January and Friday 31 January 2025. The hearing was subject to anonymity.
Constable “A” was found to have breached the following standards of professional behaviour, at the level of Gross Misconduct:
The allegations related to the officer misusing force systems to access the personal record of a member of the public without a policing purpose.
The officer was found to have breached the standards of professional behaviour at gross misconduct. The officer received a final written warning valid for 5 years.
