A gross misconduct hearing was held at Merseyside Police Headquarters between Monday 13 January and Wednesday 15 January 2025, chaired by Assistant Chief Constable Goss.
Constable Woosey appeared before the misconduct hearing to answer allegations relating to a breach of the Standards of Professional Behaviour in respect of Discreditable Conduct, following an incident on the 5 December 2023 where it was alleged he assaulted his former partner whilst off duty.
The panel found that the case against Constable Woosey was proven. The panel concluded that the officer breached the relevant standard of professional behaviour at the level of gross misconduct.
The Officer was issued a sanction of a Final Written Warning for a period of 3 years.
