A Section 60 order has been authorised for the Toxteth area after three males were assaulted last night (Saturday, 4 April) within a 20 minute timeframe.
The order will begin at 3pm today (Sunday, 5 April) and will conclude at 4am tomorrow (Monday, 6 April).
The Section 60 gives officers enhanced stop and search powers in a specified geographic location for a set period of time. Officers are authorised to search any males aged between 14-50 years in the location shown on the map.
The area covered is bounded by Upper Parliament Street; Windsor Street; Admiral Street; Devonshire Road West; Devonshire Road; Croxteth Road; Sefton Park Road and Lodge Lane.
