Merseyside Police can confirm 25-year-old Martin Rimmer of Tumilty Avenue, Bootle has been charged with possession with intent to supply Class B drugs. He has been released under investigation in connection with the attempted murder arrest, following a shooting on Malt Street, Toxteth on Sunday, 9 August.
Rimmer was arrested yesterday by officers following a short foot pursuit in Wendell Street, Toxteth yesterday afternoon.
He will appear at Liverpool Magistrates Court tomorrow, Friday, 14 August.
