We have charged a 57 year-old man with racially aggravated public order following an incident in Liverpool One.
Officers were called to South John Street at 5.15pm on Wednesday 2nd December following reports two men had been racially abused and a woman had been abused by a male. A man was detained nearby and arrested.
John Dunbar, of Great Howard Street, Liverpool city centre, has been charged with four offences of racially aggravated public order, one offence of possession of a bladed article, one charge of resisting arrest and one charge of assaulting an emergency worker.
He was remanded into custody to appear in court at a later date.
