Detectives investigating a firearms incident in Birkenhead yesterday (Thursday 27 February) have a charged a man.
Officers were called to the area of Lansdowne Road this morning, 27 February, just after 7.30am, to reports a man was brandishing a firearm in the street. Officers responded quickly and detained the man shortly after, along with a gas powered BB gun.
25-year-old Daniel Rowlands from Lansdowne Road was charged with possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence; and possession of an imitation firearm in a public place.
He has been remanded in custody to appear at Wirral Adult Remand Court this morning, Friday 28 February.
