Unexplained death - The Mystery, Wavertree

Merseyside Police can confirm enquiries are underway following the discovery of a man’s body in Wavertree this afternoon, Friday, 17 January.

Emergency services were called to the area known as The Mystery at 2pm following a report that a body had been found by a member of the public.

Police and ambulance are in attendance and a cordon is in place.

At this time the death is being treated as unexplained and a post mortem will be conducted to establish the cause of death.

Enquiries are ongoing to identify the man and inform next of kin.
