Appeal for witnesses to come forward after shots were fired at an address in Kirkdale

Merseyside Police is investigating a firearms incident in Kirkdale in the early hours of this morning (Sunday, 12 July 2020).
At about 00.24am a report was received that shots had been fired at a flat on Fountains Road.
Officers attended and found damage above the front door of the property which was consistent with a firearm discharge.
No one is believed to have been injured during the incident.
Crime Scene Investigators are carrying out forensic examinations at the scene and house-to-house enquiries are underway. High visibility patrols
have been stepped up in the area.
Detective Inspector Tara Denn, said: "An investigation into the full circumstances of the incident is ongoing. I would appeal to anyone who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously in the area around Fountains Road shortly before, or after the incident, to contact us. Information they have could be vital. I am particularly interested in talking to anyone who may have seen males, in dark clothing in the area shortly before the incident took place."
