Four arrested in connection with Bromborough shooting

Detectives investigating a shooting in Bromborough on Thursday, 18 June have arrested four men in connection with the incident.
At about 5.30pm, emergency services were called to McDonald's at The Croft Retail & Leisure Park on Welton Road, following reports a 21-year-old man had been shot as he sat in the front passenger seat of a black Ford Tourneo car in the drive-thru.
Following enquiries, detectives yesterday arrested a 23-year-old man from Oxton, a 20-year-old man from Tranmere, a 33-year-old man from Liverpool and a 19-year-old man from Tranmere, on suspicion of conspiracy to murder.
An investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to get in touch. Officers are also keen to speak to the man pictured and would ask him, or anyone who recognises him, to please let us know.
Detective Inspector Sabi Kaur said: “Four men have been arrested however an investigation remains ongoing and I would ask anyone with information, dashcam or CCTV footage to please contact us.
“High visibility patrols will remain in the Bromborough area in the upcoming days and although I know there will be considerable concern within the local community, I would like to reassure the public that we are treating the incident as targeted and are pursuing a number of lines of enquiry to ensure those involved are brought to justice.”
