A 31-year-old man from Ashton-in-Makerfield arrested on Tuesday, 3 March following the death of a woman at a house on Birch Grove has been released without charge.
An investigation remains ongoing and the death is currently being treated as unexplained, although it is not believed to be suspicious.

Original statement
We can confirm that detectives are investigating the unexplained death of a woman in Ashton-in-Makerfield today (Tuesday, 3 March).
Emergency services were called to a house on Birch Grove just before 2.15am where the 33-year-old woman was sadly pronounced dead.
The woman has been formally identified and her next of kin informed.
A 31-year-old man from Ashton-in-Makerfield has been arrested on suspicion of murder and taken to a police station in Merseyside to be interviewed.
House to house enquiries have been carried out and an investigation into the circumstances of the woman’s death are ongoing.
Detective Inspector Leanne Toole said: "A woman has sadly died overnight and we are appealing to anyone who may have seen anything suspicious or heard something in the early hours of this morning or last night to get in touch with police.”
