Detectives investigating a pursuit earlier this week in south Liverpool have charged a man in connection with the incident.
At around 11.45am on Tuesday 3 November, Matrix officers sighted a suspected stolen BMW on Park Road, Dingle. A pursuit was carried out around Sefton Park, Allerton and Hunts Cross before the car was abandoned on the Speke estate. Officers, assisted by our dog section, detained a man and woman nearby.
23-year-old Michael Jones of Dingley Avenue, Orrell Park has been charged with handling stolen goods; dangerous driving; driving whilst disqualified; no insurance and fail to provide a specimen for analysis. He will appear at Liverpool Magistrates Court today, Thursday 5 November.
A 20-year-old woman arrested on suspicion of various offences has been released under investigation. Enquiries continue.
