Detectives investigating a robbery in Southport have charged two men in connection with the offence.
Officers were called to McColls on Portland Street at 9.45pm on Thursday, 10 September to reports of a robbery. Two men were arrested.
33-year-old John Garnett of no fixed abode was charged with robbery; assault of an emergency worker; and possession of an imitation firearm.
28-year-old Marley Khan of Forest Road in Southport was charged with robbery; and threaten a person with a blade/sharply pointed object.
Both men have been remanded in custody to appear for trial at Liverpool Crown Court on Friday 9 October.
