
We are appealing for information following a suspected arson on Harthill Road on Sunday 2 May.
At around 7.55pm Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service (MFRS) alerted police to a fire at an address on Harthill Road, Allerton.
MFRS extinguished the fire and a building was damaged.
No injuries were reported.
Following a joint investigation with MFRS, it is believed the fire was started deliberately and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.
Detective Inspector Gary Thomas said: “At this stage we believe this fire was started deliberately, although thankfully nobody in the vicinity was hurt. We're keen to hear from anyone who has seen anything suspicious in the Harthill Road area, or saw the incident itself.
"Your footage, descriptions or other information could be vital in finding those responsible, so please come forward and we'll do the rest."
