We are issuing the image of a male who may have information to assist us in the investigation of a theft from a nurse in Whiston.
At around 9.20pm on Wednesday 17 March the victim, a woman in her 30s, was leaving work at Whiston Hospital. She was approached by two youths on Warrington Road, one who asked for the time. One of the youths then grabbed the phone from her and ran away. The victim returned to the hospital to seek help.
Enquiries have been ongoing, including CCTV.
Detectives Inspector Jennie Beck said: “We believe that the male pictured may have information to help, so if you know him please come forward. Likewise, if you happened to see the incident in question come forward.
“Any theft is upsetting, but for a nurse to be targeted in such a way is absolutely abhorrent and has left her scared to walk to and from work. We’re determined to find those responsible so tell us what you know and we will take action.”
