Statement on incident in Walton

We can confirm that a woman has died following an incident in Walton yesterday evening, Thursday 8 April.
At 7pm, reports were received of a woman in her 30s being found seriously injured, having fallen from the Rice Lane flyover. She was taken to hospital by ambulance and was sadly pronounced deceased.
Her next of kin have been made aware and are being supported by officers.
The road has since been reopened. Enquiries are ongoing.
