Witness appeal following fatal collision - Smithdown Road, Liverpool

We can confirm an investigation is underway following a fatal collision in Liverpool this evening, Saturday, 3 April.

At around 7.20pm, officers were called to Smithdown Road near the junction with Greenleaf Street following reports of a collision involving a bus and a pedestrian.

The pedestrian, a woman in her 30’s, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

Her next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers at this time.

Road closures remain in place and members of the public are advised to avoid the area.
