We can confirm that following a collision in Eastham, last night (Friday, 13 August) a 27-year-old man has sadly died.
At around 8.20pm, police and the ambulance service were called to Ferry Road , to reports that a motorcycle had collided with a wall.
The motorcyclist was taken to hospital and sadly died a short while later.
His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers at this time.
Sergeant Ged Ferguson, said: “An investigation is ongoing after a man sadly died following a collision in Eastham last night and we are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident, or has any CCTV or dashcam footage which may assist our investigation."
