Appeal for witnesses following serious RTC in West Derby

Emergency services are currently in attendance of a serious road traffic collision in West Derby.
We were called to the scene at approximately 6.10pm following reports that a black Ford Fiesta had been in collision with a pedestrian at the junction of Utting Avenue East and Stalisfield Avenue.
The pedestrian, who is believed to be in his 70s, has been taken by air ambulance to hospital suffering from head, chest and leg injuries. The driver of the car remained at the scene and is assisting officers.
