Detectives are issuing CCTV images of a man who may have information to assist a robbery investigation near London Road, Liverpool last month.
At around 12.30am on Thursday 15 July a male victim was approached at the junction of Gildart Street and Constance Street, by an unknown male suspect asking for cigarettes and money.
When the victim declined, the offender made threats to stab him and kicked him in the leg.
The suspect too the victim’s cigarettes and then made off on foot in an unknown direction.
The victim suffered minor injuries and no weapon was seen.
Enquiries are ongoing to find the person responsible.
Detective Inspector Gavin Mulcahy said: “We’re keen to speak to anyone who recognises this man, as he may hold vital information to assist our enquiries.
“To be threatened and attacked in this way is appalling and our investigation is ongoing to find the person responsible and remove them from our streets.
“If you were in the London Road area at the time of the incident and saw anything or anyone suspicious then please get in touch as information you hold could be vital to our investigation.”
