We have today, Friday 6th August, issued CCTV images of a group of people who may be potential witnesses in the Duncan Browne murder investigation.
At around 3.40am on Sunday 4th July police received a report from North West Ambulance Service that Duncan had suffered a cardiac arrest after being assaulted outside the City Buffet restaurant on Hanover Street. The 23 year-old from Kirkby passed away the following day.
The group of people pictured (main picture) are believed to have walked from Seel Street and along Hanover Street shortly prior to the incident. Detectives believe they could have information which is vital to the investigation.
Detective Chief Inspector Sabi Kaur said: “Our enquiries into Duncan’s death remain ongoing.
“We have issued CCTV images of a group of people who were in the area at that time and may have information which could assist with our investigation.
“I would ask any of these people, or anyone who recognises them, to contact us, as a matter of urgency.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact @MerPolCC or 101 quoting reference 21000465224. Alternatively, you can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
