The Tuebrook Local Policing Team, working alongside Liverpool City Council is hosting a Community Engagement Fair in Newsham Park.
The event, which will take place on Wednesday, 25 August, will give the community a chance to meet their local policing team, learn about the different departments in the force and the support agencies and clubs who work alongside them – whose services they may wish to access.
There will be a display from the force’s Dog Section and a road traffic collision demonstration from Mersey Fire and Rescue Service.
Local Policing Inspector Andrew Lloyd said: “It’s been an unpredictable time for all of us and with lockdown easing and the kids off school, we thought it would be a great time to organise something for the local community.
“Alongside our partners, we will be chatting to the residents, demonstrating the work we do and the services and support we all offer. We’re also keen to receive feedback from the public, we want them tell us about any concerns they may have, so we can work together to tackle them.
“We’ll be offering the opportunity to get your bike marked, giving away some safety freebies and offering some entertainment.
“We’d love members of the community to come down, enjoy what’s on offer for a few hours, find out what’s on offer and get any advice they need to from ourselves and our partners.”
Cllr Abdul Qadir, Liverpool City Council cabinet member for neighbourhoods, said: “The police are the eyes and ears of our communities with a wealth of unrivalled local knowledge.
“I’d urged anyone who lives in Tuebrook to get along to the park if they can to meet the team. They are your policing team, there to give advice and reassurance but also for you to share your concerns with about the area so that we can all work together to make the community a great place to live.”
Partners for this event include Mersey Fire and Rescue Service, Anthony Walker Foundation, Daisy UK and Cat Protection League and many more from the local community.
