At around 7.15pm, officers on patrol on Stanley Street witnessed a suspected drugs transaction in an alleyway. A man was detained nearby after attempting to run off, and was seen to discard items onto a roof.
Around 100 wraps of suspected heroin were seized, plus cash and a phone. Following a search, suspected cannabis and cocaine were also found and seized.
An 18-year-old man from Litherland was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A and B drugs and taken to a police station for questioning.
