Police investigating the murder of Paul Stenson in West Derby on Sunday 19 December have arrested a man on suspicion of murder.
Today (Thursday 23 December), a 28-year-old man from Liverpool was arrested on suspicion of murder. He has been taken into custody and is being questioned by police.
A 29-year-old man and a 17-year-old woman from Liverpool were also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. They have been taken into custody and are also being questioned by police.
Earlier this week two women aged 20, were arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and have since been bailed pending further enquiries.
Extensive forensic and witness enquiries into the incident remain ongoing as detectives continue their investigation.
Detective Chief Inspector Lee Wilkinson said: “Although we have made three arrests today we would still like to hear from anyone who has not yet spoken to police who was in attendance at a house party on Princess Drive in the early hours of Sunday morning where Paul Stenson sadly lost his life.
“Please don’t assume the fact others have come forward means you shouldn't – every single piece of information could prove essential to understanding what happened, finding who was responsible and securing justice for Paul’s wife and children.”
