At around 6.45pm yesterday (Thursday 30 December) a bus was in collision with an 80-year-old man at Aintree Hospital on Lower Lane.
The pedestrian was taken to hospital to receive treatment for serious injuries to his leg. He is still in hospital in a serious but stable condition.
Roads Policing Sergeant Amy Murray said: “We are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision to please get in touch to help us with the investigation, particularly passengers who were on the bus at the time of the incident.
"Any information you hold could be vital to our investigation.”
