Prescot man charged with multiple offences following incident in Huyton

We have charged a man with multiple offences following an incident in Huyton on Sunday 21 February.
At around 9.30pm, officers sighted a Ford Fiesta in Liverpool Road which showed no insurance. The vehicle failed to stop and was located a short time later in Calgarth Road.
The suspected driver was detained on suspicion of drink driving and in doing so, reportedly assaulted an officer, who was taken to hospital with facial injuries.
28-year-old Jordan Boardman of Sutherland Road, Prescot has been charged with; Assault occasioning actual bodily harm; fail to stop; drink driving; and driving without insurance.
Boardman was remanded in custody to appear at Wirral Adult Remand Court this morning, Tuesday 23 February.
