Today we would like to pay our respects to Imogen Christie, who was part of our Trans Advisory Group and had been since its inception in 2017.
We at Merseyside Police are truly saddened to hear that Imogen passed away last week.
Imogen was someone who always wanted to improve things, always sought solutions and was always a willing listener, ally and advocate. They were balanced in their views and wanted simply to enhance our knowledge and for the Police to continually improve.
We as a Police service will continue to take forward the valuable lessons Imogen taught us, we will work alongside our partner agencies and the Police and Crime Commissioner to ensure inclusion is at the heart of everything we do.
Imogen, we know, was well loved across our city and their loss will be felt by many, especially those within our LGBT+ communities and network. They will be greatly missed and our thoughts are with Imogen's partner, Sam, their family and friends at this truly sad time.
