Officers have today (9th June) conducted a day of action in Speke aimed at tackling organised crime in the area.
Two warrants were carried out first thing on Damwood Road where 231 cannabis plants were seized and on Miners Way, where an additional amount of cannabis was seized.
Two men, aged 60 and 33 were arrested on suspicion of cannabis production and have been taken to custody for questioning.
Sgt Rebecca Hodgson said “Today we have been working with partners in our Roads Policing and Mounted Teams as well as being supported by the Fire Service and Housing department.
“We have also utilised our Op Target resources to carry out additional proactive deployments aimed at identifying and deterring criminals.
“The support from our internal and external partners is greatly appreciated and means that we can broaden our patrols on any given day.
“Let us know if you have any concerns or know someone that is involved in crime and we will take action.”
