Officers on patrol yesterday afternoon (14th June) at around 4:45pm spotted a woman driving along Ennismore Road, Liverpool where she was seen to be involved in a suspected drugs transaction.
The driver, along with two other people and the car were searched where officers found a large quantity of bank notes, brown and white powder suspected to be heroin and cocaine
Two men aged 26 and 36 were arrested on suspicion of Being Concerned in the Supply of a Controlled Class A Drug. Whilst the driver, a 27 year old woman, tested positive for cocaine at the roadside and was consequently arrested for Being Concerned in the Supply of a Controlled Class A Drug as well as Drug Driving.
In custody, the 26 year old man was found in possession of around 70 wraps of white and brown powder hidden down his trousers.
Following this, at around 1am this morning (15th June) officers spotted a 29 year old man again involved in a suspected drugs transaction on Ashdale Road.
He was found with a bag of cocaine at the scene and was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Class A Drug. A further search was undertaken at his home where officers discovered around 700 more bags of cocaine, just under £1000 in cash and other drugs equipment. He was therefore arrested for Possession with Intent to Supply.
