We have arrested three men on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs as part of a County Lines operation.
A Ford Fiesta was stopped in Liverpool city centre at around 1.30pm this afternoon, Tuesday 8th June, by officers from Merseyside Police’s roads policing unit and Matrix disruption as part of pre-planned operation with Cumbria Police.
Three men were arrested – a 19 year-old man from Fairfield, a 21 year-old man from Toxteth and a 39 year-old man, also from Toxteth – on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs.
The arrests came as part of a joint operation under Project Medusa into County Lines in Barrow in Furness.
All three men remain in custody where they will be questioned by detectives.
Following the stop a large quantity of suspected Class A drugs was also recovered in a house in Toxteth and will be forensically examined.
