Southport man, 50, charged with attempted murder

We have charged a 50 year-old man with attempted murder following an incident in Virginia Street in Southport on Friday 25th June.

Leslie Marshall, of Virginia Street, was remanded into custody to appear at Merseyside Domestic Violence Remand Court this morning, Monday 28th June.

A 48 year-old woman who was injured during the incident remains in hospital in a stable condition.
