We can confirm an investigation is ongoing following a fatal collision in Liverpool city centre yesterday afternoon (Sunday 20 June).
Just before 2.10pm, officers were called to Renshaw Street, between Brownlow Hill and Newington Street, to reports of a collision involving a HGV and a pedestrian.
The male pedestrian was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. Enquiries are continuing to formally identify him and notify his next of kin.
The driver of the HGV, a 31-year-old man, stopped at the scene and is assisting with enquiries.
