We can confirm that officers are investigating reports of bricks being thrown from a bridge in Halewood on Sunday, 14 March.
At around 9.50pm, it was reported that youths were throwing bricks from a bridge on Lydiate Lane.
It is not believed that anyone was hurt in the incident. CCTV and witness enquiries are ongoing.
Community Policing Inspector Peter Rexwinkel said: “This type of senseless behaviour is a criminal act and could cause serious injury - or worse - to an innocent member of the public.
"We're keen to hear from anyone who saw this incident and has any information about anti-social behaviour in the Halewood area recently.
"Our enquiries are ongoing, and we’ll act on any information received to find those responsible.”
