Woman dies following collision in Huyton

We can confirm the 26-year-old woman injured in a collision in Huyton on 1 March has sadly died.

Emergency services attended Court Hey Road, Huyton (Monday 1 March) following the incident.

At around 12.45pm it was reported that an off road bike was in collision with a pedestrian.

The pedestrian was treated for serious injuries at the scene, and taken to hospital for further treatment. She sadly died from her injuries on Friday 5 March.

Her next of kin have been informed and are being supported by officers.

The rider of the bike, a 29-year-old man, was taken to hospital where he remains receiving treatment. His condition is described as serious but stable.

CCTV and witness enquiries are ongoing.
