We are appealing for information following an incident in Dingle yesterday (Wednesday 5 May).
At around 4.25pm it was reported that three males smashed the windows of a parked vehicle and assaulted a man on South Hill Road.
The offenders, described as white males in their 20s, made of from the scene on foot.
The 46-year-old man attended hospital for injuries to his arms.
CCTV, forensic and witness enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the incident.
Detective Inspector Paul Jones said: “We are in the early stages of an investigation into the incident on South Hill Road and we would ask anyone who saw anything or has any information to come forward.
“This attack has left a man injured and a vehicle damaged and we would like to reassure the community are determined to find those responsible and bring them to justice.
“If you saw or heard anything suspicious in South Hill Road or the surrounding area around 4.30pm, or have captured home CCTV or dashcam footage, please let us know as any information could be vital to the investigation.”
